Dress It Forward: Turning Prom Dreams into Reality

Writer: Minarets Press StaffMinarets Press Staff

Last Friday, senior Tessa Camacho hosted her SLE project, “Dress It Forward” in the Minarets media lounge, offering the opportunity for all Mustang students to select a free prom or winter formal dress of their choice. The SLE turned out to be a massive success within the school, with many students taking this chance to find the perfect dress!

When Tessa was asked about her choice of SLE, she shared a sincere explanation of why she picked the “Dress It Forward” project. “We collected the dresses to help everyone get a wonderful experience at prom!” Tessa stated, emphasizing the thought of everyone deserving a memorable night.

The SLE had a wide range of differently styled dresses in a variety of sizes to ensure the perfect fit and dress for everybody! When interviewing Junior Jayden Martinez at the event, she expressed that, “It’s a great opportunity for students who can’t get the prom dress experience! There’s great options.”

On April 9th, there will be another “Dress It Forward” function in the media lounge during lunch offering even more dresses for students to pick, try on, and take home! Be sure to attend and find the perfect dress for your prom night.
